Birmingham March Against The Cull – Feb 22nd, 2014

By Shari Black Velvet

STOP THE CULL. STOP THE CULL. STOP THE CULL.

On February 22nd, the weekend preceeding the NFU conference in Birmingham, folk from around the UK gathered in Birmingham for a march and rally speaking up against the badger cull. Calling on the government to stop killing, and to vaccinate not exterminate, over 1000 men, women and children marched around Birmingham city centre. The march was relatively short, only lasting half an hour, but the day also included many speeches, badger face painting, stalls selling merch and vegan food, sett mapping workshops and singers/entertainers in Victoria Square.

We think it's about time the government came to their senses and looked inside of them for that hidden, unused organ called a heart and realised that killing animals is not the answer. It will not cure TB and it will not do any good whatsoever. It is a pointless, worthless, expensive exercise which will have no positive or beneficial outcome whatsoever. Vaccinate, don't exterminate.
